OVERVIEW

The ACIQ R5A4S18AKANA is a standard AC-only condenser. Designed with comfort in mind and an inexpensive but higher-than-standard efficiency option for nearly any application, this condenser is considered a good all-around option for almost any application.

1.5 Tons

The ACIQ R5A4S18AKANA air conditioner condenser has an output of 1.5 tons, generally enough to cool a small house in ideal climates. In many system configurations, the tonnage of the unit's paired coil or air handler will be larger in tonnage than this condenser, which maintains the efficiency of the unit. Please note that this condenser cannot function or provide any sort of heating on its own, and it needs an indoor coil or air handler to work. If you have any questions, please contact us.

13.4 SEER2

The ACIQ R5A4S18AKANA air conditioner condenser is rated at 13.4 SEER2, making it between 5-7% more efficient than standard 13 SEER1 units, saving you money in electric bills over the entire lifetime of your unit.

Warranty

ACIQ offers a 10 year parts warranty on this condenser. For these warranties to be upheld, the unit must be installed following your state and local codes, a new and certified coil must be installed at the same time, and the entire system must be registered online through the manufacturer.

Durability

The cabinet of ACIQ units are extremely durable. On the R5A4S18AKANA, there are reinforced corner posts and the internals of the unit are protected by an additional inlet grille, all to provide enhanced protection to the unit.

All ACIQ condensers come pre-charged with enough refrigerant for a 15-foot line set, making installation faster and more convenient. This pre-charged design saves installers time and reduces labor costs by eliminating the need for manual refrigerant charging. It also helps ensure the system starts with the correct amount of refrigerant, minimizing the risk of improper charging that could impact performance and efficiency. If a longer line set is required, your installer will need to add additional refrigerant to maintain optimal operation.

40,000 BTU, 96% AFUE

The ACiQ G96VTN0401410A has an input of 40,000 BTU. With an efficiency of 96%, this means that the furnace has an output of 38,400 BTU, meaning that it is generally suitable for small houses in ideal climates. The 96% AFUE also means that for the gas going into the furnace, 96% of it is used to heat your home while the remaining 4% is lost out the flue piping and lost to normal furnace operations. All 96% furnaces require plastic/PVC flue venting, and if you need it to be metal flue venting to match your current setup, you would need to get an 80% efficient furnace. While this unit uses natural gas as fuel out of the box, we also have an LP conversion kit, available at an additional cost.
