Two Stage Furnace
The AQ-GR9T800603AN ACiQ gas furnace is a two stage furnace that has two heating outputs on the burner: full output on colder winter days and a lower output for milder days that the furnace doesn't have to run quite as much. Two stage furnaces allow for a more even heat distribution, as the furnace will only kick on the higher stage if the indoor temperature is more than a few degrees away from the desired temperature. Since the lower stage will be used more often, the AQ-GR9T800603AN will run quieter than a single stage system. While the majority of the benefits of a two stage feature on a furnace are comfort based, the efficiency of the furnace is slightly higher due to it burning less fuel at its lower stage.

With its ability to be installed with either an AC-only condenser or a heat pump condenser, this unit is ideal for many applications. In some packages, this coil will be larger than its paired condenser, which will increase the overall efficiency of the entire unit, but the coil should never be smaller than its paired condenser.
