Outdoor Reset Control
An outdoor reset control is an intelligent system that adjusts the temperature of the water in a boiler or the air in an Air Handler based on the actual temperature outside. When it's only mildly cool outside, the system runs at a lower temperature to save energy; when the temperature drops, it ramps up the heat. This prevents the "all or nothing" blast of heat common in older Mobile Home Furnaces. Many ACIq and MrCool systems utilize this logic automatically to maximize their HSPF2 ratings. You can find these sensors and controllers in our Accessories-Kits collection. It is one of the most effective ways to lower your monthly utility bills while maintaining a perfectly steady indoor environment. This technology bridges the gap between basic thermostats and high-end building automation.
