Heat Exchanger
The heat exchanger is the most critical part of a furnace, responsible for transferring heat from the burning gas to the air in your Ducted system. In Mobile Home Gas Furnaces, it consists of a series of metal tubes or chambers that keep the dangerous combustion gases completely separate from the air you breathe. If the heat exchanger develops a crack, it can leak carbon monoxide into your home, making it a major safety hazard. Our ACIq furnaces use high-grade aluminized or stainless steel to resist the stress of constant heating and cooling. Regular Combustion Analysis is the best way to ensure your exchanger remains intact and safe. If an inspection reveals a crack, the entire unit or the exchanger assembly must be replaced immediately. You can find replacement heating components in our Parts department. It is the "engine block" of your home's heating system and requires careful annual inspection.
