Gauge Manifold
A gauge manifold is the primary diagnostic tool used by technicians to monitor the high-side and low-side pressures of a refrigeration system simultaneously. By connecting these gauges to the service ports of an ACIq condenser, an installer can determine if the unit has the correct Factory Charge. These manifolds feature color-coded hoses (blue for low pressure, red for high) and central ports for adding refrigerant or connecting a Vacuum Pump. Understanding the readings on a manifold is the only way to accurately calculate Superheat and Subcooling, which are the "vital signs" of your AC. We offer both traditional analog and modern digital manifolds in our professional tools collection. For DIY-friendly systems like MrCool, these are often not required for the initial setup, but they remain essential for any future repairs. A high-quality manifold is built to withstand the high pressures of R-410A and the newer A2L refrigerants. It is the most iconic tool in the HVAC technician's bag.
