Economizer Cycle

An economizer cycle is a control strategy used in commercial buildings that pulls in cool outdoor air to provide "free cooling" when the outside temperature is lower than the indoor setpoint. This system uses motorized dampers and outdoor sensors to determine when it is more efficient to use the outside air rather than running the Compressor. This feature is standard on many Commercial Packaged Units and can save thousands of dollars in annual energy costs. By reducing the runtime of the mechanical cooling system, an economizer also extends the life of your ACIq condenser. It is also an excellent way to improve Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) by regularly flushing the building with fresh air. You can find economizer kits and replacement sensors in our Accessories-Kits department. This technology represents one of the most effective "green" upgrades for any business property. It is the ultimate solution for energy-conscious building management.
