Draft Inducer

A draft inducer is a small motorized fan that clears the combustion chamber of residual gases before the furnace ignites and then pulls the exhaust out through the flue. This is a critical safety component in all modern Mobile Home Gas Furnaces to prevent the buildup of dangerous carbon monoxide. When the thermostat calls for heat, the inducer is the first thing to turn on; if it doesn't spin, the Pressure Switch will prevent the burners from firing. Because these fans run at high speeds, they can eventually develop bearing noise or fail entirely over time. We stock a wide range of replacement inducer assemblies in our Motors-Fans collection. A functioning inducer ensures that the burner flame is steady and that your Ducted system remains safe for your family. Many high-efficiency ACIq systems use variable-speed inducers to match the heating stage of the unit. It is the primary mechanical safeguard for gas-fired heating equipment.
