Conduit (Electrical)
Electrical conduit is a protective tube, usually made of metal or plastic, that houses and protects electrical wiring from physical damage and the elements. When installing a Mobile Home AC Condensers, the power lines from the disconnect box to the unit must be enclosed in a flexible, weather-tight conduit. This prevents the wires from being cut, kinked, or degraded by sunlight and rain over time. You can find conduit kits and other essential electrical supplies in our Installation Kits collection. Using conduit is not only a best practice for safety but is also a requirement for passing electrical inspections in most jurisdictions. For Ductless Mini Splits, the communication wire is often run inside the same conduit as the refrigerant lines for a cleaner look. We recommend using a Line Covers-Guards system to hide and protect the conduit on the exterior of your home. It provides a professional finish while ensuring that your system remains code-compliant and secure.
