Combustion Chamber
The combustion chamber is the specific area within a furnace where the fuel is ignited and burned to create heat. This chamber is built to withstand extreme temperatures and is usually the most durable part of any Mobile Home Furnaces assembly. As the gas burns, the heat is transferred through the chamber walls into the air stream of your Ducted system. It is critical that this chamber remains completely sealed to prevent exhaust gases from mixing with the air you breathe. Over many years, thermal expansion can cause cracks in the chamber, which is a primary reason for furnace replacement. Our ACIq furnaces utilize high-grade aluminized steel or stainless steel to prevent this type of fatigue. If you notice a strange smell or if your Flame Sensor keeps tripping, the chamber should be inspected immediately. It is the core engine of your home's heating system during the winter months.
